This Privacy Policy explains how MerchantCodex (“we,” “us,” “our”), operated by Emmanuel Flossie, based in Roi-Et, Thailand, collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use merchantcodex.com (the “Site”) and our membership services.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Account information: name, email address, username, and password when you register
- Payment information: processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We do not store your full card details on our servers. We retain billing records (name, billing address, transaction history) as provided by Stripe.
- Forum content: questions, replies, and any information you choose to post in the community, including content posted in private consultation threads
- Communications: emails or messages you send us
Information collected automatically:
- Usage data: pages visited, login times, course progress, and download activity
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, collected through standard server logs and our security plugin (Wordfence) for security and fraud-prevention purposes
- Cookies: we use cookies necessary for login sessions, membership access, and site performance. [Add details of any analytics cookies if you install analytics — e.g., Google Analytics, and add a cookie consent banner if targeting EU visitors.]
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and manage your membership, including access to forums, courses, and downloads
- Process payments and manage subscriptions through Stripe
- Answer your forum questions and provide consultation services
- Send transactional emails (receipts, account notices, password resets) via our email providers
- Send membership-related updates such as Google Merchant Center policy alerts included in your plan
- Watermark downloadable resources with your member name to deter unauthorized sharing
- Protect the Site against spam, abuse, and security threats
- Comply with legal obligations, including tax and accounting requirements
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your forum questions or account data to train AI systems, all answers are written personally by Emmanuel Flossie.
3. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK Members)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your data on the following bases: performance of our contract with you (providing membership services), legitimate interests (site security, fraud prevention, improving our services), legal obligations (tax and accounting records), and consent where required (e.g., optional marketing emails).
4. Third-Party Services
We share data with the following service providers only as necessary to operate the Site:

Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy and applicable data processing terms.
5. Google Merchant Center Data
If you connect your Google Merchant Center account to MerchantCodex, we access your Merchant Center account and product data via the Google Merchant API, using the OAuth scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/content, solely to display your product catalog within MerchantCodex and generate AI-assisted title, description, and metadata suggestions for your review before you choose to apply them to your account.
We store your OAuth access and refresh tokens securely in a private, access-restricted system that is never shared with any third party and is not accessible to other MerchantCodex members. We do not sell, share, or use this data for any purpose other than providing the MerchantCodex service to you.
You can revoke MerchantCodex’s access to your Google account at any time via your Google Account permissions page, or by disconnecting your account from within MerchantCodex.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
6. Forum Content and Public Visibility
Important: Question titles and short excerpts posted in the public forum areas are visible to non-members and indexed by search engines. Full answers and discussion content are restricted to members. Do not include personal, confidential, or account-identifying information in question titles.
Content posted in private consultation threads (Suspension Audit) is visible only to you and Emmanuel Flossie.
If you cancel your membership, your forum posts may remain in the community archive in accordance with our Terms of Service. You may request removal or anonymization of your posts, see Section 8.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your membership is active. After cancellation, we retain:
- Billing and transaction records as required by tax and accounting law
- Forum contributions, which remain part of the community archive unless you request anonymization
- Backup copies, which are cycled out per our backup retention schedule
8. Data Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption, security monitoring (Wordfence), restricted file access, separate hosting infrastructure, and regular encrypted backups. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@feedarmy.com. We will respond within 30 days. EEA/UK residents may also lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.
10. International Data Transfers
MerchantCodex is operated from Thailand, and our service providers are located in various countries including the United States. By using the Site, you understand that your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your own. Where required, we rely on our providers’ standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
11. Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for business professionals and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced to members by email or site notice. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest revision.
